Yoni Steam Ceremony, Rite of the Womb & Brunch

You are warmly welcomed to take part in a sacred act of devotion to your inner temple. As a sisterhood, we will gather to honour our bodies with this age-old self care ritual.

Yoni is sanskrit for ‘divine passage’ or the ‘source of life’. It is one of the only words that encompasses all of the female anatomy, the uterus, vagina and vulva as the complete package as well as honouring this space as a temple, a space of wisdom, magic, creation and healing.

Yoni steaming is an ancient tradition made modern. It has been practiced in Central & South American, Asian and African cultures for thousands of years; a knowledge and practice shared among communities of women in a myriad of interesting forms and to support a vast array of women’s health needs across the cycles of her life.  Ultimately, vaginal/womb/yoni steaming/hydrotherapy is a beautiful self care practice that invites women to fully drop into the realm of their sacred temple and offer her exactly what she needs - space and time to relax and release.

Steaming offers women the opportunity to reconnect the body with the wisdom of subtle plant medicine to heal, clear the womb and sexual organs on a physical and energetic level, and prepare it for its intended use, creation (not only for babies, but for our dreams and for ourselves and the lives we create). The very act of inviting your whole yoni to relax and surrender is healing in itself.

It is important to know that the vaginal flora naturally cleanses and balances itself, and steaming is not a way to ‘clean’ it as such (she is perfect as she is). The vulva is one of the most absorbent tissues and the clitoris has the highest concentration of nerve endings in the entire  human body. So, she soaks in all the herby and flowery goodness and invites it into the wisdom of the body, thus offering an excellent and direct way to work on a variety of issues.

Amongst many others, steaming has been found to:

• Reduce pain, bloating and exhaustion during menstruation

• Balance and regulate hormones

• Boost fertility (not only for conception, but for manifestation and creation purposes!)

• Detox the womb and remove toxins from the body

• Support the body post-partum

• Assist with digestive issues.

• Increase sensuality

• Release stored emotions, trauma and energetic stagnancy

• Tap into latent energy where our creative and sexual life source arises from.

When women take part in a yoni steam as a collective, a deep self communion takes place. They anchor into the lineage of this ancient practice, directly communicate with nature and the feminine web as well as honouring themselves powerfully.

The ceremony will involve:

~ Womb / Yoni connection through a combination of self womb massage (external), meditation, breathing and gentle intuitive movement

~ An introduction to the practice, its history and knowledge on herbs used

~ A group shamanic process where you’ll be guided on a journey to align with your your wombs wisdom, tap into your innate healing capacity and invite healing to take place.

~ A nourishing and grounding deep relaxation

~ A yummy afternoon brunch

There are a few contraindications to the process - unfortunately you will not be able to take part if you

• Are on your period

• Think you may be pregnant

• Have any open or recent scar tissue in the perineum area

• Currently have any infections

• Are under any fertility or IVF treatment

• Have given birth in the past 3 months.

• If you have an IUD fitted, please get in touch with me.

All women over the age of 16, are welcome to take part. This includes women without a physical womb as we will be working on a deeper energetic level.

Please bring with you:

• layers to keep warm

• bring/wear a long flowing skirt or sarong to wrap around your bottom half as you steam.

• journal and pen

• an open mind, heart and soul and a commitment to your healing.
